Production 4- Completed Interview, Cover Art, and Article

Yesterday I was able to finish editing the cover art of my magazine in photoshop. I was running into a few mechanical difficulties that I was able to figure out eventually through the use of video tutorials. The cover was converted and imported into InDesign and a few more edits were made after that to complete it. The content page also needed a few edits with the pictures and the coloring that were resolved relatively easy. The interview with the Braden River varsity high school football player went great. The athlete had plenty of time to answer a range of questions that would assist me in writing my feature article. I was able to talk all about the experiences of being a student-athlete and get a personal viewpoint on all of my statements. All that is left to do is to format the written article into InDesign and make finishing touches to the magazine prior to submission.

Production 3- Pictures and Magazine Development

Last week I was able to meet up at my friend Jordan's football tournament. I was able to capture the majority of my pictures of him playing in drills and in games. I am planning to attend at least two more friend's games to capture more photos for my contents page. As of now, the contents page is mostly completed, and I need to construct the feature article starting with organizing my content . Today I have a scheduled interview with my feature athlete where I'm asking around ten to twelve questions about the his difficulties being a student athlete having to balance both sports and academics. I am also working towards editing my cover photo in photoshop, so I can convert it to InDesign once I correct everything needed. From there, I can start writing my feature article and be on pace to finish the magazine by the end of this week. The magazine is close to completion, and I'm working hard to finish it on time.

Production 2- Rescheduling, Props and Adobe Practice

The scheduled interview with the varsity football player, Jordan Carter, got postponed considering the interview was near the holidays and some family came up on his end. The interview has been rescheduled for next week either on Wednesday or Friday. I also need to clarify a portion of my interview questions revolving around home situations. The photoshoot was also rescheduled at a later date because one of the main three athletes couldn't make it. Right now I'm working towards finding a date that all the participants could reasonably attend to without any interfering complications. While I'm working towards those goals, I am getting familiar with the Adobe programs like Photoshop and InDesign by following tutorials online for some of the concepts that I want to implement into my magazine and some of the photos. The programs where difficult to understand when starting, but I am naturally learning things within the program that I am picking up the more tutorials I follow. O...
